today’s workout

haven’t had a good workout in a while… i’ve been busy/track’s ended/parents won’t drive me to the gym/ it’s been hot (90 degrees!)/i’ve been injured & can’t run… yeah, excuses, i know… but hey, at least i’m getting back into the swing of things! you don’t know how close I was to continue (after i already had for 15 minutes) dipping anything and everything into my jiff peanut butter jar.

so…

i got up and did some hiit cardio (blogilates style)

really considering doing insanity this summer

it would be awesome to be able to accomplish that workout program.

i’m scared but i’m tough. i really think i can do this…

but for this program, i’m going to need a workout buddy. anybody interested in doing the program, all 60 days, together?

In reply: Yeah! All the videos are online and I will post a link! And I’m doing cross country camp 3 days a week and taking some tennis lessons, so I’m attempting both… Maybe I will try an insanity and running workout on the same day a couple times (hey it’s summer and I have time to kill). Also, I am vacationing for a few days in there, so I will probably only stick to the schedule 90% considering I don’t want insanity to be my sole form of exercise for 60 days.

i never knew girls at my school were so into health… kinda cool. kinda motivates me to work harder too, knowing my competitive nature… just have to keep in mind that i can’t take this competition to extremes… only to use as motivations to pump out the burpees :)

Pretty much all of spring so far I’ve been wearing jeans or yoga pants (but mostly jeans) to school even though it’s been pretty warm-ish.

I WOULD wear more shorts, but the school is so FRICKIN COLD… They pump up the AC like there’s no tomorrow!

But I’ve been feeling pretty body confident ever since working out regularly (1 year since May!) and I don’t have much time left to wear my shorts to school. I mean I know I have all summer but to just wear cute little shorts to school… yeah this is lame now that I’m typing this haha but I just really wanna go for it. Even though my legs will be cold. Just because I can and I guess the main reason is…

Because I’m proud of my body :)

No cardio today :( Except walking a mile home from school… Kind of regretting not doing cardio because I am trying to stay conditioned for cross country/summer training & know I won’t have time to workout tomorrow because I’m having a voice recital (my teacher’s are SUPERRRR LONGGG) & rehearsal after school but oh well. at least i did a little strength!

Ran today! Bouncing back from injury

I haven’t ran in probably 2 months! I was feeling good today, and went for a 2 mile run with my friends after school. We made many stops, like to stick our feet in the water at the promenade at the lake, and waiting at at least four traffic lights… But I was just happy I could run! To workout a little more, I went about 4 more miles when I got home from school. I know, I know… Injured runners can’t do /too/ much at once… But I promise I’m going to scale back the mileage from today and alternate with lots of cross training. I just felt like I bird set free from a locked up cage!

Well, off to stretch! My calves are really sore……

i know you follow the tag “odolnost” so i just wanted to post this mostly because i’ve been feeling a little lonesome lately and i know you have too. but i just wanted to say that i wish there were more people like you at my school because i’d pretty much go to any effort to befriend you because you just seem like my type of person :) you seem so caring and kind and anyone would be lucky to have you in their life!
